Join Komite Ayiti, Inc. (KAI) for an immersive Haitian drumming experience rooted in tradition, rhythm, and collective energy led by Dr. Gerald Rameau, an experienced Haitian drumming instructor.

Participants explore foundational Haitian drumming styles including Yanvalou, Mayi, Petro, Nago, and Rara. These rhythms reflect Haiti’s rich history, spiritual depth, and enduring cultural resilience. The program emphasizes getting in flow with live drums to understand the core musical and movement patterns central to Haitian culture.

Through hands on, group based instruction, participants engage with call and response rhythms, timing, listening skills, and cultural context in a welcoming, communal setting. Open to all experience levels. Bring your own drum.
