Return To The Land Opening Reception

Guest curator and Baltimore based artist Jessy DeSantis (they/them) is curating a contemporary exhibition highlighting artists’ interpretive expression of their relationship with the Land. Return to the Land features multidisciplinary art, including video, aerial sculptures, paintings, garments, photography and textile works by Baltimore based artists. Artist featured include, Love Iman, Genna Clemen, Miracle Kendall, Jaz Erenberg, Rowan Bathurst, Rice Mckelvin, Ram Brisueno, Lehna Huie, Valeria Fuentes, Santana Sankofa, Ashley Esposito, Maria Louise High, Micknai Arefaine, Glenn Hanner, K’aree Tsalagi, Edith López Estrada and Pili Ojos Magníficos.

Return to the Land will be on view at the Motor House Gallery from August 24th, 2023 through October 10th, 2023. An opening reception will be held on August 24th 6-9pm and the closing reception and artist talk on October 10th 7-10pm. The exhibition will be synchronized with a range of programs including ancestral and nature related workshops to be announced at a later date.
