BARTENDER
Position Summary
The Bartender provides excellent customer service and serves as the face of the Showroom during all events and operating hours. Responsible for serving well-made drinks and suggesting menu items to customers in order to increase sales. The Bartender will support the event environment by informing guests of Motor House and upcoming events and encouraging participation. Responsible for maintaining high quality of service and space maintenance by following recipes, opening and closing procedures, and supporting the vision of the Showroom Manager.

- Follow all cash management, POS reporting, and opening and closing responsibilities
- Portion control and consistent recipe execution

FACILITIES ASSISTANT
Position Summary
The Facilities Assistant performs day-to-day maintenance and cleaning tasks within Motor House Arts to ensure its cleanliness and functionality by supporting the bar and events departments. The Facilities Assistant is responsible for managing basic repairs, managing cleaning supplies, coordinating with contractors for on site visits, maintaining grounds, and providing administrative support related to facility operations.
Administrative:
- Posts up to date records of standard operating procedures for all Motor House departments easily accessible and visible to all staff.
- Assists Showroom and Events departments with onboarding new hires at Motor House with regard to equipment and setting up physical workspaces.
- Liaison between staff and building management (Pinkard Properties) via email and occasionally phone call.
- Manages ‘maintenance’ line item in budget and reports financial updates to the Showroom General Manager.
- Coordinates with BARCO Program Director for capital repairs regarding the building interior and exterior
- Review Slack and Event Reports to determine work order needs on a weekly basis.
Facilities Management:
- Supervise the cleaning and maintenance of lobby, bathrooms, performance spaces, backstage, cleaning of high traffic areas, windows, kitchen on days when cleaning team is not present. Cleaning team is contracted for two service dates weekly (Monday and Thursday)
- Completes regular weekly walkthroughs to ensure all first floor spaces are "event ready"
Reports any necessary work orders and building management notes to Building Management (Pinkard) via email with a copy to Interim Director
- Maintain accurate appliance inventory
- Maintain Cleaning Product Inventory and make a list for purchase
- Maintains manuals, warranty, and repair records for bar and kitchen appliances
- Regular weekly maintenance of exterior areas in front of Motor House
- Coordinates with 3rd party contractors to fix equipment as needed
- Daily space maintenance including cleaning trash cans, windows, kitchen/greenroom, vacuum rugs
- Ordering cleaning supplies for the Showroom and Events department
- Launder soft goods
- Weekly errand runs in support of the Showroom and Events
- Assist Showroom Manager with tasks needed to maintain permit requirements (fire, health, etc)
- Coordinate with General Showroom Manager, BARCO, and community support to maintain cleanliness and safety of Graffiti Alley

MANAGING DIRECTOR
Position Summary
Motor House’s Managing Director will lead its strategic direction and business strategy to ensure programmatic integration, artistic and social impact, financial resourcing, and administrative effectiveness. The Managing Director will clearly articulate an organizational strategy, identify and take advantage of new partnership opportunities, and deliver results that support the vibrancy and sustainability of the organization. The Managing Director will develop and manage productive relationships with diverse constituencies of artists, partner organizations, advisors, and funders. The Managing Director will also convey complex stories in understandable language to internal and external stakeholders. The Managing Director will oversee all operations of the organization and manage the executive team.
Compensation
$70,000 - $80,000 Depending on Experience. Benefits: Employee will be eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and 403b retirement plan.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Position Summary
The Technical Assistant will maintain and coordinate the use of all technical equipment within Motor House to ensure high level event production for all Motor House programs, external rental events, and Showroom functions.
Event Preparation:
- Responsible for maintaining house lighting rep plot
- Assist with events set up according to the floor plan
- Assembling/disassembling A/V and Lighting
- Executes clients' vision for their event by providing technical support in the event planning and ideation process
- Executes technical aspects of events including planning, scheduling, builds, load ins, tech rehearsal, and strike
- Participates in calls with’ Front of House Coordinator’ to discuss schedules and upcoming technical event needs
- Develop conditions and practices that support the Motor House ecology
Event Operation:
- Customer service representation
- Manage technical needs during the event
- Assisting in setting and resetting space to provide smooth transition from one event to the next
- Facilitating technical needs for events from load in to load out while balancing client vision with all necessary venue rules and procedures
Technical Staff Management:
- Creates training materials for contracted technical staff
- Conducts tech training, oversee and work respectfully with contractors working non-Motor House productions
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage repair and warranty of all lighting and av equipment
- Manages storage systems for equipment
- Manages equipment use in all performance spaces
- Leads technical aspects of annual space clean up
- Provides information for event reports as needed
This is a Contractor position that will require work or participation in events outside of "normal working hours", most shifts occur after 5pm.
Compensation
$15 - $18/hr Depending on Experience

EVENT ASSISTANT
Position Summary
The Event Assistant will facilitate rental events, programs, and all other public activities that occur in Motor House performance spaces to ensure a positive user experience that serves the mission and vision of Motor House.
Event Preparation:
- Assist with event set up according to the floor plan
- Assembling/disassembling stage platforms/chairs, a/v and lighting set ups
- Executes clients vision for their event
- Participates in calls with Front of House Coordinator to discuss schedules and upcoming event needs
- Develop conditions and practices that support the Motor House ecology
Event Operation:
- Customer service representation
- Manage technical needs for low-tech events. Coordinates with Technical Assistant for tech heavy events.
- Assisting in setting and resetting space while maintaining proper opening and closing procedures
- Facilitating production needs for events from load in to load out while balancing client vision with all necessary venue rules and procedures
- Communicate schedule and event operation procedures to bar team during all events
- Maintain fire safety and permit requirements at all times
- Manages box office/ticket management system for ticketed Motor House programs
Administrative:
- Complete Event Reports at the conclusion of each event shift to communicate event review and facilities needs.
- Report urgent facilities issues to Front of House Coordinator
- Completes thorough incident reports as needed
