Program Coordinator

Position Summary

Position Scope and Responsibilities:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the success of all Motor House Programs
and Residencies. Collaborating closely with Motor House staff and artistic contractors, this
individual is tasked with creating and maintaining an efficient program structure. They must
exhibit strong communication skills, effectively conveying many details to various stakeholders
and interested parties. In addition to cultivating existing relationships, the Program Coordinator
will engage in community outreach to build and maintain relevant partnerships with Motor House.

Event Planning/Operations
● Draft and distribute calls for all Motor House programs
● Draft contracts and confirm signature for all Motor House program facilitators and
producers-in-residence
● Support the curation of Motor House’s Artistic Season
● Maintain communication with artistic contractors throughout planning process to ensure
successful event
● Work with Marketing Manager to provide marketing materials for Motor House programs
and residencies
● Follow up with program facilitators and producers-in-residence post-event to obtain
feedback and maintain relationships
● Prepare gallery, assist with installation and de-installation
● Coordinates annual schedule of events for Motor House Programs and Residencies
● Participate in weekly one-on-one meeting with Executive Director to review calendar
● Participate in weekly Motor House team meetings, and Strategic Planning sessions to
provide insight on Motor House Programs and Residencies
● Liaises between artistic contractors, producers-in-residence and Motor House team
members
● Clearly communicates contract details, floor plans, tech needs, and miscellaneous event
needs to Event Managers and Technicians
● Maintains a positive relationship with staff, community stakeholders, and patrons of the
Motor House
● Regular check-ins at the top of Motor House Programs and Residencies.

Kitchen Aid Over Hire

Position Summary

Motor House is searching for an enthusiastic, committed individual that is reliable with great attention to detail.



Kitchen aid duties and requirements include:

Prep cooking for weekly events
Occasionally assisting with catering
1 year of kitchen service skills
Maintaining cleaning standards for the kitchen area and organizing the walk-in
Being efficient, speedy, and organized
Staging the kitchen for the chef
And taking food orders

Event Technician Over Hire

Position Summary

Position Scope and Responsibilities
Uses knowledge of lighting and sound equipment to execute technical event set up according to floor plan and event needs
Assists in cleanliness and organization of technical storage
Informs Technical Coordinator of any malfunctioning equipment
Manages the timeliness of the event with performer in collaboration with Event Manager
Maintains all safety guidelines & regulations during events
Enforces rules of the space & contractual agreement with client
Executes client’s vision for their event
Informs guests of Motor House mission and event calendar
Provides a friendly atmosphere for clients and performers
Clean up and properly store equipment after events
Participates in frequent calls with Rentals & Events Manager to discuss schedule and upcoming event needs
Assists with bi-annual space clean up and maintenance
ADMINISTRATION
Assists with Event Reports in collaboration with Event Manager at the conclusion of each event
Completing and submitting bi-weekly timesheet
First floor staff meetings, programming meetings, and other meetings as scheduled

Event Staff Over Hire

Position Summary

Position Scope and Responsibilities
● Executes client’s vision for their event while enforcing rules of the space & contractual agreement with
client.
● Maintains safety guidelines & regulations during event (including, but not limited to, fire safety,
crowd control, and first aid)
● Manages the timeliness of the event alongside other event staff, bar staff, and client(s)
● Assists with event set up according to floor plan
● Enthusiastically provide excellent customer service and a friendly environment to clients, guests, and
performers
● Coordinates with security and bar staff for bar closing procedures.
● Performs basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning tables, throwing away
trash before, during and after events.
● Manages cleanliness of event space and first floor public spaces while on duty
● Participates in frequent calls with Rentals & Events Manager to discuss schedule and upcoming
event needs
● Informs guests of Motor House mission and event calendar
● Assists in cleanliness and organization of technical storage
ADMINISTRATION
● Completes Event Reports before the conclusion of each event
● Complete and submit bi-weekly timesheet
● Informs Rentals and Events Manager and/or Executive Director of any work orders, faulty equipment,
and janitorial supply orders
● Participates in meetings including bi-weekly event staff meetings, quarterly all staff meetings, and other
meetings as scheduled

$18/hr

Bartender Over Hire

Position Summary

Provides excellent service to guests during Motor House events
Crafts delicious cocktails
Informs guests of upcoming events and information about Motor House
Follows and enforces Showroom bar policies and procedures

Must have:
Punctuality and reliability
Weeknight and weekend availability
Prior bartending experience
Great communication
Excellent organization and cleaning habits

Compensation

$16/hr + cash tips each night and credit card tips bi-weekly

Barback Over Hire

Position Summary

Motor House is searching for an organized, clean, and independent Barback for the Showroom Bar.

Barbacking duties include:

1. Prepping juices and fruit for service
2. Organizing the walk-in fridge including beer and house made syrups
3. Restocking the beer cooler and fridges
4. Maintaining the standards for Front of House
5. Maintain cleanliness of Showroom
6. Setting up the bar during select events
7. General cleaning of showroom during service

This position does not bartend.

Compensation

$16/hr + cash tips each night and credit card tips bi-weekly. Tip out will be afforded to the bar back of 10% on high volume nights
